Renting a motorcycle comes with its own set of rules and requirements . Most are common sense and some are a legal requirement. We are endeavouring to make the process of renting a bike simple and straight forward as practically possible.
AGE RESTRICTIONS
All rides must be over 21 and under 65 years old .
AMBULANCE COVER
Ambulance cover should be obtained by all riders .
Some private health insurance policies also include ambulance cover. But please check your policy.
AREA OF USE
Currently Turnbulls Motorcycles are only allowed to be used within Victoria. Written approval is required for intestate use.
The motorcycles can not be ridden on any beach.
BOND
A security bond of $1000 on a credit card is requirement for all rentals, paid at pick up.
BREACH OF AGREEMENT
If you are found to be at breach of the terms and condition , the rental agreement will be a cancelled and the security bond will NOT be be refunded. You may also be liable for additional costs depending on the result of actions causing the breach.
DAMAGE
As per the terms and conditions, the renter is liable for all damage to the bike outside of what is outlined in the fair wear and tear guide. Click Here
The liability amount is listed on the front page of the rental agreement. The amount liable is depending on the liability option selected by the renter.
Liability does not include injury, damage to personal effects or equipment.
DEPOSIT- CANCELLATION – CHANGES
As we have limited supply of bikes, we require a $500 deposit before any reservation is confirmed. This fee is non refundable if you cancel within 30 days of pick up.
If you cancel more than 30 days prior to pick up a full refund of the deposit will be provided.
14 days prior to rental , payment will be required in full.
If you cancel within 2 weeks of the rental, then 50% of the quoted rental fee will be charged. Deposit will be forfeited.
Depending on availability, change of dates will not incur any additional fees. ( Peak season rates may be different )
INSURANCE
Our motorcycles are fully registered in Victoria and are covered under TAC ( CTP insurance ) for personal injury .
However, we suggest all customers have personal insurance or travel insurance
Your liability amount is outlined on the rental agreement. ( Depends on the motorcycle type )
LAWS
All customers must comply with Australian road rules and any state laws/ regulations applicable.
State / National Parks and Nature Conservation acts apply when riding in the Australian bush. It is the customers responsibility to ensure they are complying with regulations.
LICENCE
As per the Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions, it is a requirement to hire a Turnbulls Motorcycle that all riders hold a full motorcycle licence.
The company retains the right to refuse rental to any customer/ rider that does not hold a full motorcycle licence.
You must present your drivers licence when hiring the motorcycle.
RACING
Under no circumstances are Turnbulls motorcycles to be used for any form or motorsport, unless approved by the company as part of the rental agreement ( different terms and conditions apply for racing )
RIDING EXPERIENCE
We require a reasonable level of experience riding offroad motorcycles. Proof of experience will be required . Please click here to complete our Pre Booking form .
The company reserves the right to deny rental, if the company is not satisfied with the level of experience of the customer / rider.
